The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Murder Ink - James Hayman


James Hayman is a transplanted New Yorker. He graduated from Brown and joined a major New York ad agency, eventually becoming creative director on accounts like the US Army, Procter & Gamble, and Lincoln/Mercury. In 2001, he moved to Portland, Maine, with his wife to become a full-time writer.  He has written five novels featuring Portland, Maine detectives Mike McCabe and Maggie Savage, which combined have sold more than half a million copies. 
The Library has acquired his most recent novel, The Girl on the Bridge, as well as Darkness First. Please use the Suggestion Book at the front desk if you would like to read more of his novels.
