The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Jessie Burton

Jessie Burton is an English author and actress, who attended the Central School of Speech and Drama and Oxford University. Her first multi-award winning novel The Miniaturist was set in 17th century Amsterdam. The library has a copy of this, and has just acquired her latest novel The Muse. Murder Ink - Harry Dolan

Harry Dolan is the bestselling author of Bad Things Happen (2009), Very Bad Men (2011), and The Last Dead Girl (2014). He graduated from Colgate University, where he majored in philosophy and studied fiction writing with the novelist Frederick Busch. 
The Library recently acquired his last novel.  Remember to use the Suggestion Book at the Front Desk if you would like to read more of his novels.
