The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs. The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Pat McCaffrey

The library is sad to announce the passing of Pat McCaffrey, one of our longtime esteemed volunteers.  Pat usually worked on Friday afternoons, when she greeted everyone enthusiastically, and enjoyed easy camaraderie with children and adults alike. There was usually laughter while she was on duty. Her wide-range of knowledge and interests guided both book buying and evaluating donated books.
We will miss her at the library and the community has lost a talented individual.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, at the Hudson Legion, 56 Beach Road, Hudson.
