The Write Stuff - Heather Morris
New Zealand born Heather Morris began her writing career as a screenwriter, after completing a BA degree. The library has just acquired a copy of her novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz. Based on a true story, it tells the story of Lake Sokolov, the camp tattooist who falls in love with a young girl, Gita. There follows an incredible story of how they survive the harrowing ordeal, and eventually get married. Heather first got the idea for the novel in 2003, when she first met Lake. Heather now lives in Melbourne. To visit her online click here.
