The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Diana Evans

Diana Evans is a British novelist, who was born and lives in London, the daughter of a Nigerian mother and an English father. She completed an MA in Creative Writing and became a Journalist. She has written three award-wining novels and the library has just acquired her latest work, Ordinary People. Set in London it tells the story of two couples against the background of Barack Obama's historic election victory. Hudson Box Office (HBO) - Acceptable Risk

Acceptable Risk is an Irish television crime drama series, first broadcast in 2017. Elaine Cassidy stars as Dublin-based Sarah Manning whose husband, Lee, is murdered while on a business trip to Montreal. The ensuing investigation reveals more questions than answers, and Manning finds herself under suspicion, and her life under surveillance. The library has just acquired the first series. Murder Ink - Cristina Alger


Cristina Alger is a lifelong New Yorker and bestselling author of The Darlings, This Was Not the Plan, The Banker’s Wife and Girls like Us. A graduate of Harvard College and NYU Law School, she worked as a financial analyst and a corporate attorney before becoming a writer.
