The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Kelli Estes

Born in Washington State, Kelli Estes graduated from Arizona State University with a BSc in Business Administration. After working for a large airplane manufacturer as a buyer/contract administrator, she left and become a full-time writer, a long held ambition.
The library has just acquired her first novel, The Girl who Wrote in Silk. While exploring her dead aunt's island estate, Inara Erickson finds an elaborately stitched piece of fabric hidden in the house. Peeling back the secrets it holds, her life becomes interwoven with Mei Lin, a Chinese girl mysteriously driven from her home a century before. A tragedy is uncovered which will shake her family to it's core.

Hudson Box Office (HBO) - Marcella

Marcella is a British "Nordic" noir detective series, written, directed and produced by Swedish screenwriter Hans Rosenfeldt, creator of The Bridge. Anna Friel stars as Marcella Blackland, a former London detective who returns to work on an open case from 11 years ago, involving an unidentified serial killer who appears to have become active again. Marcella also has to deal with a hectic home life, where her children are in a boarding school because of her mental problems. The library has just acquired the first series.
