The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Ben Fergusson

Ben Fergusson was born in Southampton,UK, studied English Literature at Warwick University, and Modern Languages at Bristol University, and has worked as an editor, translator and publisher. He has published three award-winning novels all set in Berlin, and the library has just acquired his most recent work, An Honest Man. 18 year old Ralf is having a carefree summer in Berlin in 1989, oblivious of the storm gathering on the other side of the Berlin Wall. An unsettling discovery and Cold War tensions begin to tear his life apart, and he finds himself caught up in a web of deceit, forcing him to make impossible choices.
