The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The April Book Sales starts on Monday, April 4th at 2.30 pm and continues until Saturday, April 9th. A special table of gardening and golf books is featured.

Bard's Birthday Bash- Sonnet Contest

The Library is holding a Shakespearean Sonnet Contest to help celebrate the Bard's birthday. Entries must follow the Shakespearean form; be original poems on any topic and not previously published or submitted to the contest, be 14 lines in length, written in iambic pentameter and adhere to the rhyme scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

There will be 3 prizes awarded and winning entries will be read at the Birthday Bash on April 23rd between 10am & 2pm. All ages welcome!
