The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Espace Livres - A Literary Salon

In collaboration with the book club The Bouquineuses and the artistic group Arts Pontes, MUSO invites you to ESPACE LIVRES its first edition of a literary salon focused on authors of the Haut-Saint-Laurent Valley region. This event takes place on Saturday, November 30 from noon until 8 pm and Sunday, December 1 from 11 am to 5 pm. You are invited to reserve a place from which to present and sell your works to visitors.
An author, to be eligible, is originally from or resides in the region and has had at least one work published. All types of writing are welcome. You must furnish your own publicity and promotional material.

The Write Stuff - Chris Cleave


Chris Cleave was born in London and spent his early years in Cameroon. He studied experimental psychology at Balliol College, Oxford. His debut novel, Incendiary, was an international bestseller published in 20 countries to awards and critical acclaim. His second novel, Little Bee, is a New York Times #1 bestseller with over 2 million copies in print. Gold is his third novel.
He lives in London with his wife and three children.

Hudson Box Office (HBO) - Mad Men

Mad Men is set in the 1960s and refers to advertising men on Madison Avenue in NYC. The story revolves around the advertising business at Sterling Cooper and primarily Don Draper (John Hamm) head of the creative department. The series explores the professional and private lives of the principle characters.
Widely acclaimed by critics and public alike, the series has received numerous awards. For more click here .

Creative Writing Workshop
















The Fall session of the Creative Writing Workshop with Timothy Fain starts on September 17th. The session lasts for 10 weeks and runs from 1 pm to 3 pm each Tuesday.
