The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Tim Winton

The preeminent Australian novelist of his generation, Tim Winton is the author of the bestselling Cloudstreet, The Riders, and Dirt Music, among many other books. He began publishing fiction in his teens and his first novel, An Open Swimmer, won the 1981 Australian / Vogel Prize. He has published 26 books for adults and children, and his work has been translated into 28 languages.
The library has a few of his books including his latest entitled Eyrie.  Please use the Suggestion Book at the front desk if you would like the library to acquire previous novels.

Hudson Box Office (HBO) - A Place to Call Home

A Place to Call Home is an Australian television drama series. that debuted on Sunday 28 April 2013. Set in New South Wales in the period following World War II, it follows Sarah Adams  who has returned to Australia after twenty years abroad to start a new life and ends up clashing with wealthy matriarch Elizabeth Bligh.
It was created by Bevan Lee and has been described as a "compelling melodrama about love and loss set against the social change of the 1950s".

Murder Ink - Ian Hamilton

Ian Hamilton has been a journalist, a senior executive with the federal government, a diplomat, and a businessman with international links.
It was a life-threatening health scare that prompted Hamilton to write his first in the series of captivating Ava Lee novels. Just two days out of hospital and recovering from surgery, he sat down at his computer. The name 'Ava Lee' came to him and the first chapter was quickly written. A few short weeks later, the first Ava Lee novel was completed. There are now seven books in the series.  The library has the collection.
