The Write Stuff - Gail Honeyman

Gail Honeyman grew up in Stirling in Scotland, and she read French Language and Literature at Glasgow University. After deciding against taking a postgraduate course at Oxford, she became a civil servant. Then at age 40,she decided to become a writer, having shown an aptitude for it at school. The library recently acquired her award-winning debut novel, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Eleanor struggles with appropriate social skills, tends to say what she is thinking, and has a carefully timetabled life of avoiding social interactions. Everything changes when she meets Raymond the IT man from her office, whose big heart will help Eleanor find the way to repair her profoundly damaged one. The library has recently acquired a copy of this marvellous novel, for more details click here.
