The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Murder Ink - William Deverell

William Herbert Deverell is a Canadian novelist, activist, and criminal lawyer. He put himself through law school by working as a journalist, served as counsel for over a thousand criminal cases and is a founding director and former president of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association. Deverell is also the recipient of multiple literary awards. His novels have been translated into 14 languages and sold worldwide.  
The library has a good selection of his novels and recently acquired Sing a Worried Song. Remember to use the Suggestion Book at the front desk if you would like to read more of his novels.
