The library has recently acquired the DVD of the third, and final award-winning British TV series of Broadchurch. Once again the brilliant David Tennant and Olivia Colman star as Detectives Hardy and Miller, and lots of the characters from the first two seasons re-appear. Hardy and Miller are called in to investigate a serious sexual assault in the fictional town of Broadchurch in Dorset, and the emotional damage it causes to everyone connected to the crime and the victim. The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Library Shoppe
The Shoppe sells donated items at very reasonable prices every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The Shoppe is located in the library basement and may be accessed on the north side of the building.
Used Book Sale
The Used Book Sale starts the first Monday of each month (except holidays) at 2.30 p.m. and lasts until the following Saturday. Prices are 50 cents for children's books, 50 cents for paperbacks, $2 for non-fiction, trade paperbacks and hardcover fiction.
Donations may be delivered to the Book Donation box on the west side of the library.

Home-Bound Book Service
War Memorial Library offers a "Home-Bound" library service for those unable to travel to the library. Volunteers will deliver books, DVDs and audio tapes, to the client's taste, every three weeks in the summer and every two weeks in the winter. There is no charge for this service.
