The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Rosie Thomas


Janey King is a British journalist and romance novelist, writing under the pseudonym of Rosie Thomas. She is the author of 20 novels and ranks among the top 100 authors whose books are borrowed from United Kingdom libraries. She has won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award twice, for her novels Iris & Ruby and Sunrise. Thomas discovered a love of traveling and mountaineering when her children were grown. She has climbed in the Alps and the Himalayas, competed in the Peking to Paris car rally, trekked in the footsteps of Shackleton on South Georgia Island, and spent time on a tiny Bulgarian research station in Antarctica.  She lives in London.
