The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Library Shoppe
The Shoppe sells donated items at very reasonable prices every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The Shoppe is located in the library basement and may be accessed on the north side of the building.
Used Book Sale
The Used Book Sale starts the first Monday of each month (except holidays) at 2.30 p.m. and lasts until the following Saturday. Prices are 50 cents for children's books, 50 cents for paperbacks, $2 for non-fiction, trade paperbacks and hardcover fiction.
Donations may be delivered to the Book Donation box on the west side of the library.

Home-Bound Book Service
War Memorial Library offers a "Home-Bound" library service for those unable to travel to the library. Volunteers will deliver books, DVDs and audio tapes, to the client's taste, every three weeks in the summer and every two weeks in the winter. There is no charge for this service.
Very impressive website by the Hudson library. Could I make a suggestion? Perhaps each book could be linked to its appropriate page on Amazon, that way users can click on an image and it gives us a preview of what the book is about. thanks for all your work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. Unfortunately we are unable to link the illustrations to Chapters/Indigo or Amazon. However we have provided a link to those sites on the right side and in Amazon's case you can link to a book with keywords.
