William Herbert Deverell is a Canadian novelist, activist,
and criminal lawyer. He put himself through law school by working as a
journalist, served as counsel for over a thousand criminal cases and is a
founding director and former president of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association.
Deverell is also the recipient of multiple literary awards. His novels have
been translated into 14 languages and sold worldwide.
The library has a good selection of his novels and recently
acquired Sing a Worried Song. Remember
