The Write Stuff - Katherina Vermette
Katherina Vermette is a Metis writer from the Metis Nation, Winnipeg. Her first book, North End Love Songs won the Governor General's Literary Award for poetry. The library has just acquired her first novel The Break, which was a finalist for Canada Reads. In a series of shifting narratives, it tells the story of the people connected with a crime (police, family and friends) reported by Stella, a young Metis mother. It is a powerful intergenerational family saga. To visit Katherina online, click here.
