The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Karma Brown

Karma Brown is an award winning Canadian journalist and author. Her first novel "Come Away with Me ", quickly became a best seller. The library recently acquired her second book "The Choices We Make ". It tackles the heart-breaking subject of infertility through two close friends, Kate and Hannah. Kate is a mother of two, who agrees to help the infertile Hannah by agreeing to be her surrogate. It's a powerful tale of friendship, and the risks we take to make our dreams come true.The book is based on the personal experiences of the author, who is also a cancer survivor.
