Black Work is a 3 part British detective thriller written by Matt Charman, and starring the wonderful actress Sheridan Smith as police officer Jo Gillespie. She sets out to discover who murdered her husband, an undercover police officer. During the course of her investigations she uncovers some dangerous secrets about her husband which tests her faith in the police family. The library has the DVD, click here for more details

The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Library Shoppe
The Shoppe sells donated items at very reasonable prices every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The Shoppe is located in the library basement and may be accessed on the north side of the building.
Used Book Sale
The Used Book Sale starts the first Monday of each month (except holidays) at 2.30 p.m. and lasts until the following Saturday. Prices are 50 cents for children's books, 50 cents for paperbacks, $2 for non-fiction, trade paperbacks and hardcover fiction.
Donations may be delivered to the Book Donation box on the west side of the library.

Home-Bound Book Service
War Memorial Library offers a "Home-Bound" library service for those unable to travel to the library. Volunteers will deliver books, DVDs and audio tapes, to the client's taste, every three weeks in the summer and every two weeks in the winter. There is no charge for this service.
