The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Sunjeev Sahota

Sunjeev Sahota was born in Derby, UK in 1981, he's a British-Indian Sikh. He had not read a novel until he was 18, and graduated in Mathematics. His first novel "Ours are the Streets" was published in 2011 to critical acclaim, it's the story of a British Muslim suicide bomber.
The library has a copy of his second book "The Year of the Runaways" which was shortlisted for the 2015 Man Booker prize. It's a bold and original novel about illegal immigration to Britain from India, focusing on four migrant workers in Sheffield.

Murder Ink - David Swinson

David Swinson is a retired police detective, having served 16 years with the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department. Before joining the DC police Swinson was a record store owner in Seal Beach, California, a punk rock/alternative concert promoter in Long Beach, California, and a music video producer and independent filmmaker in Los Angeles, California.
Swinson currently lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, daughter, bull mastiff, and bearded dragon.
