The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Plot Twist: E-Book Sales Slip and Print Is Far From Dead

The Shoppe sells donated items at very reasonable prices every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The Shoppe is located in the library basement and may be accessed on the north side of the building.
Used Book Sale
The Used Book Sale starts the first Monday of each month (except holidays) at 2.30 p.m. and lasts until the following Saturday. Prices are 50 cents for children's books, 50 cents for paperbacks, $2 for non-fiction, trade paperbacks and hardcover fiction. Donations may be delivered to the Book Donation box on the west side of the library.
Books on Wheels
War Memorial Library offers a home service for those unable to travel to the library. To have books, DVDs or audiobooks delivered by a volunteer, please call the library during opening hours at 450-458-4814 or contact the Hudson Librarian at warmemoriallibrary@gmail.com to leave your name and phone number.
