The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Write Stuff - Ruth Ozeki

Ruth Ozeki is a Canadian-American novelist, filmmaker and Zen Buddhist priest. She worked in commercial television and media production for over a decade and made several independent films before turning to writing fiction. Her first two novels, My Year of Meats (1998) and All Over Creation (2003), have been translated into 11 languages. Her most recent work, A Tale for the Time Being (2013), was shortlisted for the Man Booker.
She is married to Canadian land artist Oliver Kellhammer.  The couple divides their time between New York City and Vancouver.
