Walter Mosley is one of America's premier mystery writers. Born in Los Angeles in 1952, he was raised in Watts and attended college in California, he is currently a professor of English at NYU.
Author of over 30 books including non-fiction and childrens' he is most famous for a mystery series featuring Easy Rawlins, a neighbourhood fixer in South Central LA who manages to get in and out of trouble on a regular basis. More recently he has written three books about a New York private eye named Leonid McGill.
