The Write Stuff - Lucy Atkins
Lucy Atkins is an award winning British author and journalist.She has a background in literary and feature journalism, is a book critic for The Sunday Times, and she teaches creative writing. The library has acquired a copy of her second novel, The Other Child. This tense, beautifully written novel, tells the story of Tess, married to Greg a heart surgeon, who relocates to Boston while pregnant with her second child. Striking Out is an Irish television, legal drama series. It follows the tumultuous professional and personal life of Dublin-based solicitor Tara Rafferty, played by Amy Huberman. After discovering her fiance's infidelity, she decides to abandon her successful career at the firm where they both work, and set up an unconventional private practice.
