Born in Halifax N.S. Amy Jones won the 2006 literacy prize for Short Fiction, and was a finalist for the 2005 Bronwen Wallace award. She now lives in Thunder Bay where she is the associate editor of
The Walleye ( Thunder Bay's arts and culture magazine).
The library has a copy of her first novel "
We're All in This Together" which tells the story of a dysfunctional family plunged into chaos when the matriach , Kate, survives plummeting over a waterfall in a barrel. It is all captured on a video which goes viral. The novel is funny and heartfelt, and described as a complicated layering of timeshifts and pespectives, as each family member reveals their inner emotions and personal histories.
