Marian Keyes is an Irish novelist and non-fiction writer. Over 22 million copies of her novels have been sold worldwide and her books have been translated into 32 languages. Her books deal variously with modern ailments, including addiction, depression, domestic violence, the glass ceiling and serious illness but always written with compassion, humour and hope. Keyes has written frankly about her battle with clinical depression. She lives with her husband in Dun Loaghaire
